Looking for hopeful signs…and finding them!

I lived through Woodstock. Through all the hippies when I was at Penn State who were going to save the earth…save the world. It was a pretty darned cool time to be in your 20′s.

Then came the Decade of Greed! Well, so the pundits liked to call it. I’m not even sure what the 90′s were, and now we’re well into the New Millenium. It’s been a while since Woodstock. And I’ve heard a lot of griping about this new generation coming up – these Gen Y’ers! Sure, I’ve had my run-ins with some of them – the slackers at the fast food joints, just shuffling through life. We read that they don’t care…that they want to live at home forever…that they aren’t responsible. (more…)
